YOUR BEST FOOT FORWARD

Have you ever worked very diligently on something and seen the results in more places than the main goal?  Take for instance changing the way you eat in order to lose weight.  You have a goal to wear a smaller size.  Along the way to that goal, you notice that not only are you looking better, but you are also feeling better too!  I had a similar experience to the work I have been doing and it's simply amazing!

The other day while I was getting ready, I put on a pair of shoes that I hadn't worn in about a year and a half.  These used to be my everyday shoes that fit like a glove, but now my feet felt totally different!  My shoes were worn down along the mid-line and heels.  These are the areas that I have felt the effects of the work I have been doing, but were not the main focus.  It's a great feeling to see change all around and my hard work has definitely paid off! My comfy shoes however are now in the garbage. :(

If you haven't looked at your shoes, go to your closet right now and take a look!  Depending on the way you walk and how your weight is distributed, your shoes will wear down in certain spots sooner than others.  Knowing your pattern can show you your weakness.  It can also give some explanation to the pain you have been experiencing.

It is important to have healthy feet that are strong and flexible to support your body through your everyday life.  If you don't know where your weight should be or how to strengthen your feet, let me know!  I'd love to look at your patterns and share my knowledge with you so that you can feel better in your body.

June was the month of travel me and my husband.  I spent every weekend on a plane, in a car, or on a train.  Each destination was beautiful and full of family, friends, and sunshine!  That was the upside.  On the downside, I was feeling all sorts of discomfort from sitting more than my body is used to.  After the first trip, I changed things up a little and made a mini workout in the seated position.  If you travel for work or leisure, try out any or all of the following tips to get rid of discomfort.
