FINDING THE CONNECTION

I had heard of Storm King before, but it wasn't until a couple of weeks ago that I had the pleasure of taking it all in with my own eyes.  A group of my girlfriends and I rented a minivan and drove north.  It was the perfect sunny fall Saturday to experience nature and art on such a large scale.  As far as you can see, there are fields, trees, hills, and a pond; absolute perfection!

YOU DON'T KNOW SQUAT

I had a conversation with one of my clients about his squatting and correct form last week.  I have seen a lot of variations but many of them are bringing people closer to injury.  I find that many people will sacrifice their form in order to "get lower" or do what the other people at the gym are doing.

MIND OVER MATTER

There is no better time than the present to find or reconnect with your spiritual self!  Some find peace in the words of others, but I have never been one to have a quote or passage that I turn to when times get rough.  I find more tangibility in taking a yoga class or meditating to get in touch with my higher self.

June was the month of travel me and my husband.  I spent every weekend on a plane, in a car, or on a train.  Each destination was beautiful and full of family, friends, and sunshine!  That was the upside.  On the downside, I was feeling all sorts of discomfort from sitting more than my body is used to.  After the first trip, I changed things up a little and made a mini workout in the seated position.  If you travel for work or leisure, try out any or all of the following tips to get rid of discomfort.
